This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
If you do photomanips, you should put them to the category digital art -> "photomanipulation" not "photography". Just letting you know. And I agree with the crediting thing, should mention the source even if it's a random page. Then you can start developing your skills in digital art on dA. Sorry for barging in, but anyway.

You can change the category by going to the deviation page, and clicking "edit deviation" on its left side. In the settings screen that shows up, the second thing it says is "Category", click "Choose..." and then you can find "Photomanipulation" in the list of categories on the left side if you scroll down a bit. After clicking "photomanipulation", you just choose the subcategory (people etc.) and press "ok" and back on the deviation settings page "save changes", and you're done.
You should credit, ie. mention the photographer in the "deviation description" (which you can also edit in "edit deviation") and provide a link to the webpage and location where you found the picture.
This is important etiquette. If you have any more questions, do ask.

Thank you so much for all of your wonderful comments on my gallery back in April! It was so rude of me not to reply until now, I am very sorry I have been a busy bee. I really appreciate your comments and hope all is going well for you
If you wish to know where the images have gone, you have Kunstkenner to thank for it! The Image Police I guess, probably self appointed, every web site has one and he is it!
You know what? Taking desktop wallpapers from other websites and doing minor manipulations to them (and poor work at that) still violates 's art theft policy...
Someone seems to have died and made you King! Reading one of your previous conversations, another member had a similar problem! You, poking your nose in other peoples business and I guess a lot of the time not wanted! As they said clearly, "MOVE ON"

FAQ #8: What does deviantART consider to be Art Theft?
Entire gallery reported.

Just because you call it "art" it doesn't make it so.

"Just because your cellphone came with a camera, it does not mean you are a photographer"
